The question

The idea

Tech weeks started in the biggest tech hubs. Sac Tech Week asks whether a secondary city can run one of its own, with its own founders, hosts and events. I help run the week, and the calendar is my part of the experiment.

The calendar

Every host at Sacramento Tech Week runs their own event page. That's more than 40 events over six days, spread across the web.

So the app has one job. It's the single calendar for the week, and it hands you off to the host's page when you want to go.

What it does

  • Shows every event by day, with search.
  • Lets you star events and save your week with an email.
  • Skips the accounts. Nobody has to sign up to look.

How I built it

I built and shipped it in two weeks with Claude Code. I chose a web app over a native app so nobody has to install anything to see what's on tonight.
